Established in 2007, on the beach of Aegiali Bay, Amorgos Diving Center is THE place to learn Freediving! We are a SSI Diamond Diving Center and pride ourselves on the quality and safety of our diving! We offer a wide range of scuba services from recreational to professional scuba and freediving training, daily guided dives for certified divers, and a variety of SSI specialty programs.
Amorgos Diving Center is THE place to learn Freediving and Apnea! Our center was born from the heart and reflects our dedication to holistic and adventurous living. We are the first diving center in Amorgos and the only Freediving center in the Small Cyclades with facilities to cover your diving experience on site!
We are located on the Aegiali bay beach front of Amorgos, a Mediterranean paradise that was chosen of all Cyclades by filmmaker Luc Besson to shoot his masterpiece The Big Blue. We are blessed with laid-back island living, crystal clear water and daily sunsets that will make you melt. Ripe with Cycladic charm, boasting marvelous beaches with azure waters, gorgeous caves, ideal spots for diving, scenic bays and ancient footpaths leading through its steep rocky terrain, Amorgos is a big treat for the adventurous island explorer.
Our instructors are professionals, and passionate athletes, so we offer you the best of what you need to develop your potential as a freediver. SSI offers you worldwide Freediving recognition and is also recognized as the most complete program in the freediving industry.
You can join us for certification courses, extra training sessions under an instructor supervision or fun freediving trips.
We are deeply invested in all aspects of the discipline of freediving, that’s why our facilities and training methods are in constant evolution and improvement. Our dive center has direct access to a pool and the crystal clear bay which offers perfect beginner training conditions and with our two zodiac boats we can reach open water sites which are perfect for depth training sessions as well as sites made up of caves and caverns for some challenge and fun diving. The incredible visibility of Amorgos waters will allow you to fully enjoy the pleasures that freediving has to offer.
