At the Amorgos Diving Center we are looking for motivated and enthusiastic candidates who wish to start their professional diving career in 2024!
Even if you haven’t had any scuba experience so far, with us you will have the opportunity to be trained up an SSI divemaster all while getting to know the ins and outs of the industry!
If you choose to join us for this opportunity, we will tailor the program to your needs depending on your current level of certification. With no prior experience you will start from the very basics, beginning with the SSI Open Water Diver course and learn how to become a confident autonomous diver. Throughout the program you will also work your way through at least 4 specialties, including the Stress & Rescue and the React Right – emergency first aid training to prepare you to undertake the divemaster portion of the course. From the very beginning you will be included in the divecenter’s daily work, ranging from office and reception duties to gear set up and cleaning, tank filling as well as joining our fun dives and courses to gain more in water and professional experience that will help prepare you to become an SSI divemaster by the end of the program.
The Goal of the program is to set you up to be a confident diver who can provide a professional service as a divemaster and has in-depth knowledge of diving theory and is a welcoming and enthusiastic presence for customers. As a divemaster your main duties will most often include setting up your divers gear, and being able to organize and guide group dives while respecting all safety rules. A large part of the job is also being a friendly face to the customers, welcoming them and conducting a thorough pre-dive briefing while maintaining readiness for any emergency situations both in and out of water.

Prerequisites:
- Good knowledge of English – (Greek or French is a plus)
- At least 18 years old
- Coastal license with experience in navigation (is a plus)
- Personal equipment (is a plus)
- Team spirit and passion for diving
- Good customer service skills
- Professional appearance
